Hardwork Holywork
Hard work breaks your back,
makes you sweat,
tests your patience,
shoves you into deadlines,
ink-stained timesheets,
It is the grind,
the necessary ache,
a hunger that never says enough.
But holy work?
It breaks you open.
It fills your lungs,
unspools your chest—
the breath that finally reaches your belly
after years of shallow living.
It lifts your soul wide like sunrise.
It stretches your heart,
calls your courage by name.
It moves through your hands like rivers—
wild, relentless,
carving color out of what you thought was stone,
like prayers,
like the quiet insistence of destiny.
Hard work marks calendars,
counts hours,
calculates effort,
asks for applause.
It is the noise of survival,
a wheel without rest,
churning but never arriving.
Holy work counts love.
It measures impact.
It takes your sweat and gives it meaning,
turns your grind into offering,
your hours into seeds.
It feeds strangers you may never meet,
moves unseen,
and leaves the world better—
without asking why.
Hard work is necessary.
Holy work is sacred.
One builds the body,
the other builds the spirit.
So do both.
Yes, sweat feeds ambition—
but purpose feeds eternity.
And holy work?
That is the work that whispers
to your heart,
to the world,
to your soul:
⚡ You were meant for this.
Every sweat has a story — but you decide if it stays survival, or if it transforms into service, into something sacred.
If these words stirred you, pass them along. Someone else may be waiting to remember why their work matters.
